The government uses a democratic system with presidential elections every 5 years and a prime minister chosen by the cabinet. The capital is led by the mayor, the municipality is led by the Regent, the state/province is led by the governor & the Autonomous region is led by the Sultan (with its own regulations, still within state borders). Meanwhile, Dependent Territories are led by the Governor General as is done in the North Antarctic Union Islands in the Central Islands. Meanwhile, several Atolls, Corals & Small Islands are under the control of the ecosystem & environment service, and claims to celestial bodies are under the control of the astronomy & space service.
