The Republican Guard, or MRG, is the elite operations force of the Maluhian Republic. It consists of 5 full-time members, and is tasked with protecting the state’s government in times of war, and operating as a mercenary force in peacetime, carrying out high-profile raids and investigations. The members have undergone high-intensity military-level training/conditioning and are one of the only forces allowed to carry gel weaponry, primarily the Tavor 21 gel blaster model.

Notable Missions

Maluhian-Pyrinthian War

As soon as the war was declared, the RG rushed key government officials to a secure location, and three operatives remained with the officials to guard them, along with five regular soldiers and guards. Two operatives were dispatched to fight the invaders, later being recalled for the final battle in constitution park.

Assassination of Jason A.

A month ago, it came to light that several citizens had been mysteriously robbed of their ducats and that over 20,000 D had been stolen from citizens via a money laundering program. After an investigation, the government-employed hackers traced some funds back to a house near Seestadt.

After more investigations, it was found that the house belonged to an individual named Jason A. Further investigation revealed that more than 30,000 D had been going to his account. When a few officers were dispatched to investigate the matter, they were chased off by armed guards.

Then, it was found that Jason A was funding a rebel cell known as the Revolutionary Occult, which was seeking to overthrow the government and cede its territory to Pyrinthia, recently defeated in a war.

After several RG raids on Occult hideouts, resulting in the collapse of the organisation and the arrest of several members, the final stretch of the operation was to eliminate Jason A. However, by this time, he had locked himself in his residence and sent guards out to run errands. The Government dispatched the Republican Guard, stationed them at strategic places, and one agent placed a tracker on a guard’s body.

On 25 May, the final raid began. Operatives [Redacted] gained access via the back door, as 10 regular soldiers surrounded the house. After a short but intense firefight, Jason A was executed at 11:00 AM Maluhian Standard Time.

Raid on rebel hideouts

Recently, a rebel group named the Maluhian Restorationists emerged, and it is suspected that they are named after the anime Attack on Titan’s Eldian Restorationists. Their goal is simple: restore the Ewigesreich. They are thought to have been responsible for the kidnappings of several civilians, and two weeks ago incited a riot in Constitution Park, leading to several minutes of chaos. The riot was swiftly put down by the military, who detained two individuals for being public menaces. This in turn triggered an ongoing investigation into the events, and it was found that this group had been responsible. Following the kidnappings, an RG member was sent to investigate, and his findings were that [REDACTED]. The Government ordered a raid on a rebel safe house, and the five members were sent to attack the hideout. There was a short firefight after the team breached the door, and operative [REDACTED] finally broke into the main office, where the last rebel committed suicide. One more raid was conducted, and valuable intel was gathered. The group consisted of ex-Ewigesreich loyalists, still armed with gel blasters.
