The Republic of Pengua is a micronation located in the municipality of Ensenada, Mexico. The Republic of Pengua emerged from the unification between the Republic of Gololandia and the Principality of Pengua in January 2021.
History
Monarca (2017-2017)
In October 2017, the creation of a new political entity called Monarca began by two 10-year-old children. This initiative involved the participation of six volunteer citizens who joined the project. Over the course of a few days, the young rulers, known as Monellini 3rd and Ángel 1st, organized Monarca's armed forces. In a short period of two weeks, Monarca had already gained some notoriety as a micronation. However, tensions arose between the young leaders, specifically Monellini 3rd, who experienced feelings of jealousy regarding power sharing with Ángel 1st. In response to these feelings, Monellini 3rd proclaimed himself King and the sole ruler of Monarca. As a result of this event, an internal dispute known as the Monarca Civil War erupted when Ángel 1st discovered that Monarca's banknotes were in poor condition. This situation led to the division of Monarca's territory, with a portion of it declaring independence as a result of the civil war. During its brief existence of three days, the Kingdom of Monarca faced significant challenges in terms of its governance. A considerable segment of the new citizens, specifically four out of eight, expressed themselves through the use of armed force, giving rise to the formation of the so-called Anarchist Liberation Army of Monarca. This event marked the beginning of the Monarca Anarchist War, a conflict that concluded with the disappearance of Monarca in November 2017.
Communist Republic of Gololandia and Principality of Pengua (May 6, 2020 - January 12, 2021)
On May 6, 2020, the Republic of Gololandia and the Principality of Pengua were established, created by the previously known Ángel 1st. This entity, classified as a micronation, decided to join an international organization, from which it withdrew after three months. During that period, the micronation had limited presence, mainly focused on war declarations. However, the turning point came when an Empire decided to invade the micronation, resulting in the latter's defeat and transformation into a protectorate. In November 2020, the micronation regained its independence, adopting a new, more serious approach and redefining its purpose.
Republic of Pengua (January 12, 2021 - present)
Currently, the Republic of Pengua stands as a distinguished micronation of regional relevance, having achieved a level of recognition from the honorable mayor of Ensenada.
Military
The defense forces of the Republic of Pengua have a military force consisting of a total of 18 personnel, distributed among 8 individuals of the human species (including the president) and 10 canine specimens. This force is organized into four main branches, which, in turn, are divided into six specialized sub-branches.
Branches
Infantry
The infantry contingent of the Republic of Pengua is composed of a total of three members of the armed forces, representing a significant fraction of the country's eight military personnel. These distinguished individuals are Amado 2nd, Abigail 1st, and Carlota 2nd.
Coast Guard
This branch is composed of two distinguished members of the Armed Forces out of the eight personnel that make up the distinguished military corps of the Republic of Pengua. They are known as Yael and Alberto.
Rural Infantry
The rural infantry branch of the Republic of Pengua has a composition that includes three of the eight distinguished military members of the country. These outstanding individuals are: Espinoza 1st, who holds the position of president, Leonardo 1st, serving as vice president, and Carlota 1st, the nation's most veteran soldier at 92 years old.
Cornelius Moya Division
Within the rural force, there is a subdivision that includes two of the three members of the rural infantry of the Republic of Pengua, namely: Espinoza 1st (who holds the position of president) and Leonardo 1st (serving as vice president).
Canine Force
This distinguished group consists of ten brave military canines from the Republic of Pengua, who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their duty and service. Among them are distinguished individuals such as Pinta, considered the second most decorated canine soldier in the illustrious history of our beloved Republic of Pengua. We also have Mascarita, recognized as the canine hero for her outstanding participation in the Battle of Cerro Piedad. Other members of this honorable list include Cachita, Tik, whose heroism in the Battle of San Benedicto did not go unnoticed, Max, Koga (Mascarita's brother), Galleta, Henry, Canelita, and Pinto. These canines have served with loyalty and courage, being a source of pride for our nation and an example of sacrifice and dedication.
Ammunition Delivery Canine Unit
This distinguished subdivision within the canine force includes the participation of two outstanding military canines from the Republic of Pengua: Canelita and Max. These valuable canine members play a fundamental role in the strategic delivery of military supplies, thus contributing to the strengthening and security of our operations.
Canine Artillery Support Force
This highly specialized sub-branch within the military corps of the Republic of Pengua consists of two of the ten distinguished canines that make up our ranks: Galleta and Henry. These valuable members of our team contribute significantly to the execution of strategic operations, providing crucial support in the field of artillery. Their meticulous training and exceptional skills make them key elements in fulfilling our mission and exemplary representatives of the efficiency and loyalty of our military bodies.
Trench Canine Unit
This subunit is composed of two of the ten distinguished military canines of the Republic of Pengua, namely: Cachita and Pinta, true heroines of our nation. These brave members actively participate in the arduous defense and attack work in the trenches.
Ambush Canine Unit
This is a prominent subdivision within the military contingent of the Republic of Pengua, benefiting from the valuable contribution of two of the ten canine members of our forces. These renowned individuals, named Pinto and Koga, stand out for their training and specific skills in detecting and executing ambushes on the battlefield. Their presence and performance highlight our nation's commitment to maintaining security and safeguarding the integrity of our troops in any conflict situation
Saint Francis of Asis Division
This sub-branch represents a detachment comprised of two out of the ten loyal canine companions of the Republic of Pengua, named Mascarita and Tik. These brave and disciplined canine members contribute significantly to strengthening our military forces by providing a unique capability in close combat situations and of moral support with catholic flags. Their specialized training and unwavering loyalty make them strategic assets for safeguarding our nation and protecting our citizens. Through their dedication and skills, the Close Combat Canine Unit has become a symbol of strength, collaboration, and bravery in our beloved Republic of Pengua.
