Etymology
The name Albia stems from the word Albion. The word is from Latin and is probably of Celtic origin; ultimately related to Latin albus 'white'. The word Albion can also be used as a word for England or Britain.
History
Northenden was mentioned as Norwordine in the Domesday Book of 1086; its name came from Anglo-Saxon Norþ-worþign = "north enclosure". It was then a small farming community with a manor house and woodland. In later times Northenden was sometimes called Northen.
Sometime in the 14th century a weir was built (and still stands today). Ford Lane is still in the same spot to this day and connect Northenden and Didsbury together. It is a popular spot for walking and commuting. In the 1960s a housing estate was built on the Wythenshawe side of Northenden.
In 2022 the Federal Socialist Republic of North Northenden was made. Conflict made the government to resign and thus, destroying the country. In 2023 the Republic of Albia was created under a newer, better and more stable government and economy.
Politics
Up until 27th November 2023 it was ruled by the Labour party of Great Britain. Now the Bluebell Party claims the territory.
Here are the election results:
Under the Bluebell Party government Albia has gained informal relations with the Republic of Molossia, officially ratifying this on 28 November 2023. It should also be noted that the Federal Socialist Republic of North Northenden also had informal relations with Molossia and the now dissolved Communist State of East Didsbury in October 2022.
Economy
The nation is still recovering from the mistakes by the final Chancellor of North Northenden, Robbie Brooks. In which the economy shrunk so bad the nation collapsed and the land was back in United Kingdom territory. All in all, the economy today is fairly stable with the new government taxing the rich more. The nation is still quite economically poor due to them reasons.

Culture
The Albian culture is quite similar to Britain's, although there are some differences. The main difference is that community is embedded in the very roots of our society. Studies show that Northenden is the happiest town in Great Britain.
Didsbury is also one of the most well off areas of Greater Manchester and a prime factor in the industry of Albia.
Armed Forces
The area is protected by the Albian National Guard (ANG). The area falls under the Greater Manchester Police Force and the North West Fire Brigade.
