Religion in Woodlandia
Patron Saint
The first patron saint of the Principality of Woodlandia in which the honor of sainthood was bestowed upon, is the historical Sir William Wallace, a Scottish knight who played a major role in leading the fight for Scottish Independence from England during the First War of Scottish Independence; in which he would become Guardian of the Kingdom of Scotland. In commemoration and recognition for the struggle and fight to become an independent nation, Sir William Wallace was made a patron saint of the Principality of Woodlandia and given the name St. Wallace. In remembrance of his life and in honor of his death, August 23 (William's death date), was chosen as a national holiday and was officially proclaimed St. Wallace Day by HRH Prince Shawn on March 2019.
