The Rebirth of Baltia – historical event that took place on August 8, 2020 in Buddendorf.

History

The history of this event is very interesting, because Baltia was still a tsar at that time (see: Tsardom of Baltia), and Zuland and Balania existed as separate state entities. Each of them was a separate country. The government meeting was not really planned and was organized spontaneously in the hours between the afternoon and evening. The entire session took place in the swimming pool on the premises of the current Presidential Residence in Buddendorf. Hence, the term "rebirth in the pool" is often used, which is often used by many people in interpersonal communication. During this event, kross became the official currency of Baltia and Baltia adopted Balania and Zuland and customs from those areas. On this day, there was also Baptism of Baltia "for health, for good luck". This day is also accepted as the date of beginning of the Kingdom of Baltia. The national sport of water bon was also established during this event.

Commemoration

From 2020 it is established as a national holiday, and from 2021 it is established as the most important public holiday of the Republic of Baltia.

Every year on August 8, official celebrations are held in honor of the Rebirth of Baltia.

At the cemetery in Yerushalome in 2022, a monument to the Rebirth of Baltia was unveiled.

Since 2023, there is the Order of the Rebirth of Baltia.

Comments and criticism

Some opposition parties and associations criticize the holiday and call it a communist and traditionless propaganda holiday.

In the past, there were voices to return to the celebration of Independence Day (July 13), but the ruling party claims that there is no reason to celebrate independence on this day when there was no great event.

In 2022, there were ideas to bring back the independence day, only on a different day. Dates such as September 1 or November 8 appeared in the proposals.
