The People's Landguard of Hohenzollern is the main infantry branch of the Security Forces of Hohenzollern. The Landguard is divided into different smaller platoons, divisions and companies, in order to differ the tasks of every operational duty.

Personnel

All citizens of the principality between the ages of 13 and 17 and fit for military service are able to Volunteer for the Landguard. The service is divided into active and reserve. Military service age 13 – 17 years. The officer corps of the Security Forces of the Principality trained for the International Treaties in foreign military schools and in built-in schools in the Principality. Non-commissioned officers of the Security Forces are trained in military schools of the Principality.

The Basic tasks of the Landguard are:

  • To maintain an optimal level of combat readiness of the Land-based corps and the Motorized infantry corps.
  • To fight a possible aggressor's main forces on strategic-operational levels and to defend against any land, air, and amphibious assaults.
  • To build and develop the capability to respond to requests of non-traditional tasks that are required of the Landguard.
