The Pennsylvania Federation came into existence on 13 January 2022 and has continued to exist with relative stability. Unfortunately it is a new micronation, so it is subject to scrutiny by many well established micronations. However, this has not hampered its ability to grow throughout its host state. Its sole goal is to provide humanitarian aid to the area and improve the situation for the common person, as all should. They have a unique system of state acceptance where they allow a joining micronation to keep all of its culture and symbols (Flags, Coat Of Arms, etc.) but request that they fly their flag above the new states. Along with playing the Federations anthem first, and the state anthem second. They believe that providing aid to Pennsylvania could be a good path to hegemony over the region. This is why they are classifying themselves as a successor government, for when the state government fails.
While the micronation has not been around long, its flag does hold some historical precedent. The flag is the naval flag of Pennsylvania, which was used during the American Revolution. The stripes were also flown on merchant ships during the revolutionary era. They draw on history to lead them forward, and tell them what not to do. The weapons on the flag symbolize our strength, not only in our hearts and minds. After all, Pennsylvania had plenty to contribute to the war effort in the Civil War and WWII. As the steel capitol of the United States back in the day, their economical importance to the Union was equal to only a few. This micronation wishes to push the state forward and help it lead the twenty-first century into greatness. They hope that this new history they create in Pennsylvania will push other micronations to the top with them side by side.
Economics
The Pennsylvania Federation is solely focused on providing resources to people, so it maintains a mixed economy (in the event that businesses and services arrive). This is so the government can help the economy grow with help from small businesses that follow their cause and wish to work under their banner. This way the government can operate at full capacity around the clock. In the event of an economic downturn or collapse, policies are currently in place to transition to a dual currency economy with the Pennsylvanian dollar and United States dollar operating in the same economy at a similar or same value. This lets the Pennsylvania Federation trade with US citizens, governments, corporations, and other foreigners. The Federal Government Of Pennsylvania (The Official Title of The Government) would back the currency using raw materials and local investments. Raw materials like copper and silver are likely to be used, gold as well. Although gold is usually harder for most micronations to procure quickly.
