The Parliament of the Republic is the bicameral legislature of the federal government of the Java and consists of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The Parliament meets in the Parlemen Republik in Kertajati, IFK. Both senators and representatives are chosen through direct election, though vacancies in the Senate may be filled by a minister-president's appointment. Parliament has 675 voting members: 100 senators and 575 representatives, the latter defined by the Reapportionment Act of the Republic.
