Scythium, officially the Orthodox Empire of Scythium, is a micronation and Empire located within the unknown regions of Alaska.
Etymology
The word Scythium is derived from Scythia, which is an ancient region of Eurasia that today encompasses the steppes of Kazakhstan, Siberia, and Eastern Ukraine.
History
Prior to the formation of Scythium, on 23 February 2022, Taylor Cameron joined the now defunct micronation of Ethosia and formed the National Party of Ethosia. It was at this point the party itself quickly rose up through the ranks with Cameron become the Leader of the Opposition within Ethosia. Despite this relatively short rise to power, on 22 March 2022, President Sebastian officially declared Ethosia to be defunct.
On that same day, Emperor Cameron officially announced the formation of his own micronation, which became known as Scythium.
Religion
Eastern Orthodoxy is the main religion within Scythium. Other forms of Christianity are welcome, but there is a ban on Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses. Satanism is also banned.
Government
Scythium is an Empire with an Emperor being the head of state.
The Council of Scythia
The Council of Scythia is the governing force within Scythium, with a council leader appointing new laws to be either implemented or discarded. Current council members make up the former members of the National Party of Ethosia, along with other micronation leaders.
Military
The military in Scythium is lead by an Admiral General. Currently the position is held by an individual named Gramps. The military is majorly responsible for the protection of Scythium as well as acting as a police force.
