Orders, decorations, and medals of Oakbury
The Oakbury honors system is a means of rewarding individuals' personal bravery, achievement, or service to the Kingdom of Oakbury. The system consists of three types of award: honors, decorations and medals:
- Honors are used to recognize merit in terms of achievement and service.
- Decorations are used to recognize bravery, long and/or valuable service and/or good conduct.
- Medals tend to be used to recognize specific deeds.
Honors
Honors, or the orders of Chivalry for the Kingdom of Oakbury, tend to be awarded for extreme achievement or service to the Kingdom or in a particular field.

Decorations
Decorations are used to recognize bravery, long and/or valuable service and/or good conduct within the Kingdom of Oakbury. They are most often awarded for military valor.

Medals
Medals are most often awarded to individuals for individual acts of bravery or service to the Kingdom of Oakbury, or for specific events. These are awarded once, and in most cases do not have ranks or titles associated with them.
