The Operative Locality of Agoria, more commonly known as Agoria, is a micronation founded on 3 October, 2020 based on the ideas put forth in what became its Declaration and Constitution.
Following those ideas, what little government Agoria has works under the principle that "Voluntary Exchange = Altruism + Ambition - Coercion" and as such does very little to govern its citizens, which are referred to as Individuals.
Instead, the Agorian government focuses its efforts on refining and promulgating Agoria's core principles of a Health, Safety and Happiness for all, and message of Individual empowerment and mutually productive cooperation.
As a recent nation populated solely by its Founder, Agoria has had little time to develop foreign relations. With that said, its open and non restrictive citizenship process as well as its universally agnostic system of governance allow for rapid growth and adoption by other groups, while providing very little reason for opposition or discontent.
Etymology
Agora were public gathering places in ancient Greek city-states. The literal meaning is "gathering place" or "assembly". The agora was the centre of cultural, spiritual and political life.
Principles
The document that became The Declaration and Constitution of The Operative Locality of Agoria started off as an attempt to find the basic, positive truths that all viewpoints share and find a way to understand and navigate the complexities of differing views and motivations. Left or right, religious vs secular, empathy vs emotional, etc., despite the countless ways that ideas and concepts differ, in many ways we all want the same things, the pillars of a Healthy Community and Safe Family that are both necessary prerequesites to support a Happy Self, which is built on the Integrity of the Individual.
This makes the Agorian Constitution a fairly unique document, in that only the first page follows any standard Constitutional form, and even then only in the briefest fashion.
The second page is a concise summary of the principles Agoria and its citizens uphold, while the third, the furthest deviation from Constitutional standards, is an entirely internalized explanation, appeal, and logical defense of the principles, with the purpose of prompting discussion and further developing a universally agnostic framework for Individual conduct and cooperation.
The hope is that simply by considering and applying the ideas contained in the Constitution, Individual Sovereign citizens and member groups, micronations, etc., have a strong basis for mutually beneficial, productive cooperativity.
History
Diogenes08, the Founder, had written a document that they realized would work well for a micronational Constitution based in reason and non-aggression that may possibly be implimented and promulgated, hopefully for the broader good, and to give other micronations a common basis and framework for cooperation.
On 3 October, 2020, he decided to found Agoria.
On 7 October, 2020, he published the finalized Declaration and Constitution of The Operative Locality of Agoria.
On the same day, relations were started with United Kingdoms of Greater Monmark.
Politics and government
The government of Agoria is nearly non-existent, due to its focus on voluntary actions, aversion to coercive actions, and the idea that altruistic Duty and ambitious Freedom are both necessary for a Happy Self, Safe Family, and Happy Community. In fact, the difference between government and Individuals isn't currently distinguished, with all citizens being given the title of Sovereign, and treated equally as outlined in the Consitution regardless of function or participation.
Current activities are focused on expanding population and developing diplomatic relations.
Law and order
As all and only mutually voluntary actions are permitted, and knowingly or harmfully failing to respect or cooperate with others results in a removal of citizenship recognition, there is little if any need for law enforcement.
Foreign relations
As a new nation, Agoria has had little time to develop foreign relations. Military
Each Individual recognizes the Duty to uphold and protect both noble, altruistic morals and natural, ambitious freedom, while always avoiding the initiation or escalation of force, or use of coercion.
Geography
Agoria exists in the physical proximity of an Individual in which they can immediately effect change, approximating arms reach, 'personal space,' etc., extending to and including rightfully acquired and possessed property.
Economy
The economy of Agoria consists of everything which Individuals exchange voluntarily, the Agorian government is funded purely through donations, and providing products services that are of demanded value. This has not been the case to date. Future plans may include selling flags, citizenship documents, copies of the Declaration and Constitution of The Operative Locality of Agoria, etc., however as the Agorian Founder aims to keep government expenses as close to 0 as possible, this is very low priority.
Culture and media
While very little information is currently available, Agorian culture is centred around a set of principles outlined in its founding document, which attempts to provide a universally beneficial and acceptable guide for Individuals to pursue, produce and promulgate Happiness for all.
