The Old Reformed Church in the Reformed People's Republic, also known as the National Church is a orthodox Reformed denomination in the Reformed People's Republic.
Beliefs
The Old Reformed Church in the RPR is a Calvinistic Christian movement that follows the theology of John Calvin (1509-1564). It is a movement that has separated from the other Protestant churches and has become its own identical Christian movement in 2021. The Old Reformed Church in the RPR, popularly known simply as the Old Reformed Church, or the National Church is, in contrast to other Old Reformed churches, a lot more modern. For example, televisions and movies are allowed and listening to the radio is not prohibited. Most Old Reformed people disapprove of these examples because they contain a lot of anti-religious stuff and a lot of godlessness. The Reformed in the RPR, on the other hand, lean more towards the Christian Reformed Churches, of which most residents of the RPR are also members. However, it is an orthodox Protestant movement where much is also frowned upon. For example, female pastors are not allowed, just like homosexuality, certain music styles and all association with the pentecostal church is been avoided.
Structure
The members of the Church have their own structure of faith. For example, every day the word of God is listened to (in the RPR also written as G-d. This is because it is believed that God's name is too powerful to write), various psalms are sung throughout the day (singing the same psalm several times in a row is no exception), daily prayers are held (often via psalms) and religious discussions are often held with fellow believers. There is a lot of contact especially with the Catholic Church in the Empire of Truto.
Faith (and Calvinist ideas) are also deeply rooted in politics and life in the Reformed People's Republic. For example, many laws are based on Calvinism, as is the name of the country.
Relations with other movements
The Old Reformed Church in the RPR has good contacts with other churches. There is a lot of good contact, especially with fellow Reformed people from outside the RPR. There is also, through President Youri Koeman, a lot of good contact with the Trutian Union of Catholics in the Empire of Truto. There is also a lot of respect for the Eastern Orthodox. This is because they are deeply religious and have a lot of respect for the rituals and customs. However, there is little or no contact with the pentecostal church. The Reformed in the RPR see them as pagans who have no respect for God, the Church or the whole faith. Therefore, it is preferable to avoid all contact with this church.
