The Monarchy of South Carolina, formed in 2008, was, along with the Kingdom of South Carolina, abolished on 1 May 2009 and evolved into the Kingdom and Monarchy of Greater Carolina. The Kingdom of South Carolina became a Grand Duchy in personal union with the newly acquired Principality of North Carolina to form the new Kingdom of Greater Carolina. After New Europe reorganized its territory claims in August, most of South Carolina was given to the Republic of New Afrika. North Carolina was elevated to a kingdom under the former South Carolinian monarch.
