The New Empire of Monzen, often referred to simply as Monzen, stands as a unitary absolute monarchy micronation situated within the Philippines. Monzen holds a distinguished status as one of the most historically significant Micronations currently in existence. Established in 2015, it has maintained its sovereign imperial independence to the present day. Monzen is characterized by prosperity and a deeply ingrained tradition, making it a noteworthy and traditional micronation within the global context. Monzen is an Imperial State which is governed by the Emperor. Under the New Imperial Government, the Micronation is transitioning into a new Imperial system which creates a new life to the Monzenian Society.
Etymology
The nomenclature of Monzen finds its roots in a Japanese Live-Action Movie titled "Attack on Titan" (2015), wherein the protagonist, named "Eren," resides in a district referred to as "Shiganshina," with "Monzen" serving as its alternative appellation. It is asserted that the symbolic Mon, emblematic of the Monzenian People according to the Monzenian Government, is also derived from this source: (Monzen District)
Government
Legislature
The Imperial Congress stands as the exclusive lawful legislative body of the Monzenian Empire, operating under the absolute authority of the Emperor, officially established on January 15, 2024.
Defence
Monzen comprises two defense units tasked with safeguarding the mainland and the Monzenian populace:
- Imperial Monzenese Army: Serving as the primary military force, the Imperial Monzenese Army is dedicated to the protection and security of the Micronation. Its responsibilities include the vigilant monitoring and inspection of all events within the mainland. Members of this military unit are not mandated to carry any weapons or materials capable of causing harm unless expressly authorized.
- Imperial Police: Functioning as the guardians of the Empire, the Imperial Police are entrusted with the defense and protection of the country. As such, they are permitted to possess specific weapons to serve as a means of self-defense in the event of unforeseen attacks within the nation.
