Neil Hart was the founder and President of the Republic of Arnerea and the Commander-General of its Army. He was born in 2004 in the town of Stourbridge in the West Midlands to a Welsh mother and English father, but moved to Herefordshire at the age of 5, where his parents have their roots. He has one younger sister.
Neil Hart created Arnerea in early 2019, having been inspired by learning about other micronations online. "Hart" is not his real surname, as he prefered to protect his privacy, but Neil is his real first name. He retired from micronationalism in December 2021 and disbanded the Republic, having left secondary school and with his interests and focuses drifting elsewhere.
While he was involved in Arnerea, he considers himself a reformist influenced by technocratic ideas. One of his favourite political figures was the 2020 US presidential candidate, Andrew Yang. He did not consider himself strongly right or left-wing. He is the leader of Arnerea's New Dawn Party. However, by the time he disbanded Arnerea, his views had shifted towards a more firmly left-leaning stance.
His hobbies and interests outside of micronations include gaming, history, paintball, YouTube and browsing the Internet.
