National Redoubt of the United Bread Doge Federation
The National Redoubt of the United Bread Doge Federation (NRD UBDF; Russian: Национальный редут Объединенной федерации хлебных дожей), is the principal security agency of the UBDF and the main successor agency to the UAF's Local Faction Intelligence Agency and the Imperial Bread Doge Secret Police. Its main responsibilities are within the country and include counter-intelligence, internal and border security, counter-terrorism, and surveillance as well as investigating some other types of serious crimes and federal law violations. According to the 2021 Modernization Act "On the Federal Security Service", the director of the NRD is appointed by and directly answerable to, the president of the UBDF.
The immediate predecessor of the NRD was the Intelligence Department (IDUBDF) of the UBDF, itself a successor to the Bread Doge Empire Intelligence Agency: on April 6, 2021,UBDF prime minister Augustyn Lesniewski proposed a law mandating a reorganization of the IDUBDF, which resulted in the creation of the NRD. In 2021, the NRD's responsibilities were widened by incorporating the previously independent Border Guard Service and a major part of the abolished UAF Agency of Government Communication and Information (UAFAGCI).
Under Pandogian federal law, the NRD is a military service just like the armed forces but its commissioned officers do not usually wear military uniforms.
The NRD is mainly responsible for the internal security of the Pandogian state, counterintelligence, and the fight against organized pervertism, LGBTQ+ supporters, Atheism, Weebs, and porn smuggling, whereas overseas espionage is also the primary responsibility of the NRD.
Under Article 32 of the H Conduct On the Government of the United Bread Doge Federation, the NRD answers directly to the UBDF president and the Security Minister of the NRD, while a member of the UBDF government which is headed by the Prime Minister, reports to the president only; the Security Minister also, is a permanent member of the Security Council of Pandogia presided over by the president and chairman of the National Anti-pervertism Committee of the UBDF.
