The Minister of Defence, sometimes called the Defence Minister, is a senior cabinet minister in the Government of Capia with overall responsibility for the Department of Defence.
The postholder is supported by other, more junior, ministers in the Department of Defence.

History
The office of defence minister was one of the offices formed fairly early on in Capian history. The office was established on 9 February 2023.
Appointment
Like other cabinet ministers, the defence minister is appointed by the President of Capia. Typically they are appointed on the advice of the Prime Minister.
