Micronational European defence pact
The MEDP is a defence pact based in Europe and shouldn't be confused with an organisation. It was made on the 19th August 2020.
Summary
The purpose of the MEDP (Micronational European defence pact) is to allow smaller micro nations to focus on devolving and Groot-Brabant will be defending the smaller micros. It began by the PM of Rhodesia (Sir Tom Mark) asked the Emperor of Groot-Brabant to defend Rhodesia as they had no army. Then they asked Queen Ann of Disraeli to join too. Then more nations asked to join. So they all decided to base it off the Warsaw Pact.
The agreement
Article 1 - Basic agreements §I Any attack on a member of the MEDP will be seen as an attack on all members of the MEDP.
§II All of the signatories must make an effort to defend another nation if it is attacked with either financial aid or military aid.
§III All of signatories need to cover the regional defence of their own territory.
§IV No signatory is to acknowledge the existence of what the other signatory deem as an aggressive force.
§V All signatories must allow each other military access if asked.
§VI No nation can leave the MEDP without negotiations with all the other members, if it does leave without negotiations the MEDP will decide to force them to follow this agreement or not.
Article 2 - To What Extent
§VII All nations will recognise each other and its governments.
§VIII Any breaches of each other's sovereignty gives the other party the right to withdraw from the treaty and label the aggressor as such.
§IX Examples of breaches upon the other signatories sovereignty shall include: Intervention without approval in accordance to paragraph IV.
§X If the other signatory refuses to retract all relations with an aggressive force in accordance to paragraph V, the other signatory might counter this in accordance to paragraph VIII.
§XI A nation is only obliged to help another nation when this nation is being attacked, not if it is attacking, for more info look to paragraph IV.
