Megas Archon / Lord Paramount (Imvrassia)

Megas Archon (Greek: Μέγας Αρχών‎, romanized: Megas Archon;) is a title to describe the Hegemon in the autonomous monarchies within Imvrassia and is a title ranked in honour below Emperor, equal to Archduke, King, Grand duke and Prince-Archbishop; above a Sovereign Prince and Duke. The equivalent title in English is Lord Paramount and has the same meaning ie a high-ranking position within the Empire and had authority over other lords. The term "paramount" means "supreme" or "highest in rank or authority."
In each Hegemony there could be a Hegemon who has the title of Megas Archon or Lord Paramount and he is the head of his dynasty and the government of his domain without a royal title.
The individual who holds the title of Megas Archon or Lord Paramount is considered a high ranking official of the Empire and he could be member of the Council of the State.
