Marjantia, officially the Republic of Marjantia, is a micronation founded on April 14, 2023, with a presidential system and a single legislative chamber, the Majiwat.
It is located on the Mediterranean coast.
Etymology
The name of the nation comes from the Arabic word "marja", meaning "meadow", "valley" or "pasture", which was combined with the suffix "-ntia".
History
The history of Marjantia dates back to Roman times, when important settlements were established in the area. Over the centuries, the region has been influenced by various cultures, most notably the Romans and Arabs.
After the fall of the Roman Empire, the Iberian Peninsula was invaded by various cultures, including the Arabs, who established their dominance in the region for several centuries.
