The March 2023 MHL season was the third season of the Micronational Hockey League (MHL). The season was shortened to only 2 season games per team, due to the 2023 MHL lockout, while league expanded to 12 teams with the addition of the Riel Island Sounders and Salem Thunder.

The league's regular season was shortened to only 2 games, starting on 18 March and ending on 23 March. The playoffs ended on 1 April with a 12-11 aggregate win for the Glendia Gladiators over the Nassau Doves.

Lockout

On 5 March 2023, MHL President Ali Farrokhzad announced a lockout to give the MHL more time to expand in order to adopt a 12-team promotion-relegation system for the Spring 2023 MHL and UML seasons. After that number was reached, Farrokhzad opened a 12-team group stage and playoff tournament, with 4 groups of 3 teams playing 2 games each, followed by an 8-team playoff.
