March 2020 Daragonian Pendraig election

The March 2020 Daragonian pendriag electons are the first pendraig elections in the countries history. There are only 2 candidates running.
Procedure
Electoral system
The Pendraig shall be elected via the alternative vote. To take the office of Pendraig you must be a Custodian. Valerian Starm Aetheling is not a Custodian, however, this does not exclude him form running. The minister of culture Luna Lyieovich promised that if Starm won the election he'd be granted the status of Custodian.
Background
The March 2020 pendriag elections are the first pendriag (presidential) elections to be held in the country.
Endorsements
theRedStar
theRedStar, a Daragonian newspaper, reluctantly endorsed Malcom Conner to be pendraig based on his pluricultural proposals, but expressed disappointment in both candidates commitment to a virtual economy, and lack of macropolitical referencing.
Campaigning
Malcom Conner
Malcom lead a broad campaign mostly centered around support for the Republic, criticisms of his opponents supposed "opportunistic" campaign policies, Celtic languages, an online economy and culture and being accountable to the people. His campaign was criticised by his opponent, Valerian, for lacking clear plans and vision and for being "a man of the past".
Valerian Starm Aetheling
Valerian also lead a broad campaign. He focused on accountability, constitutional reform, the creation of an upper house based on "ethnic identity" and English language issues and the creation of an online economy. He was citicised by both Malcom and his supporters for copying some of Malcoms campaign pledges, advocating an unstable political system, changing his policies based on how popular they were and his former role as a Monarchist.
