Etymology

The name La Sereyard derives from the area in which it is located, La Serena. As the nation was originally founded in the backyard of its prime minister, Toast_Toast, it takes the word yard from it.

History

Formation

La Sereyard was founded as a micronation on 19 August 2023, under the protection of the Republic of New York. During this time La Sereyard City and Midhill were founded.

Development

La Sereyard's leader, Toast_Toast decided that La Sereyard would merge into the Republic of New York on 29 August, 2023. La Sereyard began developments including the creation of the La Sereyard Regional Police. La Sereyard was in an expansion process, claiming empty plots of land, backyards, houses, and terrains from Toast_toast's Family.

Regional Decline

Over time, this expansion slowed and eventually led to a decrease. The governor of the region announced the dissolution of several territories including the capital city sometime around May 2024. Eventually with the declining population, the senate was also dissolved. Nowadays, the region is considered as a territory rather than an autonomous region.
