Republic of New Mercia (formally Kingdom of New Mercia) is a micronation which was established in late 2020, it has adopted the historical flag of Mercia which was once a kingdom within Great Britain, the flag consists of a blue background with a yellow Saint Andrew's cross.
New Mercia has recently created its official coat of arms which consists of a shield with the New Mercian flag and in the centre there is a crown which is used to represent the monarchy.
New Mercia currently has claims of land inside England and in Scotland.
Recently the Kingdom of New Mercia has introduced an official national mourning flag in response to the recent death of Her Majesty the Queen, this flag consists of the original New Mercian flag with a black background and a grey Saint Andrew's cross.
