The Kingdom of Cavite, more commonly known as Cavite (Kabite in Filipino) is an autonomous area of defined territory which claims to be a sovereign state but is called by other outside spectators a micronation. The Kingdom of Cavite was established on the 26 March 2022 after the dissolution of the State of New Bandiaterra. The date is now celebrated as the kingdom's Independence Day.

The Cavitenian mainland is located on the island of Luzon specifically in the Calabarzon region. The Cavitenian mainland is bordered by the Philippines and the Manila Bay. Cavite consists of sixteen provinces, seven cities and an Antarctic claim (Cavitenian Antarctic Territory), which are on land as well as on rocks and stones which are also part of the sovereign land of Cavite together with the Cavitenian Mainland and make up the territorial integrity and landmass of the Kingdom of Cavite. There is also the Cavitenian National Archives which has been very important to Cavite’s history. However it is not counted as territorial integrity rather the components on of which it is on is considered property of the Kingdom of Cavite.

The Kingdom of Salanda's current government is the Second Government of the Kingdom of Cavite.

The Kingdom of Salanda is primarily located in the Philippines, but it has claims in other countries. The Kingdom of Cavite is governed and led by the Prime Minister and the King. The prime minister is elected by the people and appointed by the Parliament.

Etymology

The name "Cavite" comes from the Hispanicized form of kawit or it may be a corruption of kalawit, Tagalog words for "hook", in reference to the small hook-shaped peninsula jutting out to Manila Bay. The name originally applied to the peninsula, Cavite La Punta (now Cavite City) and the adjacent lowland coastal area of Cavite Viejo (now Kawit).

Another theory proposes that the name is a Hispanicized form of kabit, Tagalog for "joined", "connected", or "attached", referring to the peninsula's topographical relation to the mainland. Edmund Roberts, in his 1821 memoir, stated that the "natives" called it Caveit due to the "crooked point of land extending into the sea".
