The Kasimovian People's Combat Group, alternatively the Federal Kasimovian Milita, is the national defence force of Kasimovia and a part of the Ashukov Federation's military. The KPCG, as it's abbreviated, comprises of the Army (Kasimovian People's Combat Group), Airforce (Kasimovian People's Airforce) and the Border and Security Force (Grenzsicherheitskräfte) as well as subdivisions such as the Organization of State Security. All forces are controlled by the Supreme Soviet of Kasimovia and thus the President of Ashukovo.

History

The KPCG can trace its routes back to Kasimovia's first incarnation as Carrum under the Saxon Empire. It served as a pivotal fighting force in expanding the Empire's influences throughout the Wikia community, including the Crusade. The Crusade was a lenghty conflict involving many nations, predominantly Smallia (now Sabovia), over territory. Many states such as Monovia and Grunkia supported the Saxons in its efforts and when peace talks were finally beginning Elefthfrian leaders making racist comments were exposed the war quickly turned from territorial to racial. Eventually Elefthfria signed a peace document giving victory to the Saxons where as Smallia was more defiant. A mutual decision to cease hostilities was accomplished by Andrew I and King Schriber (At the time). It marked a large event in Kasimovia's history that is promptly forgotten by Kasimovia. The government has since apologized officially to Smallia and any other nations affected by the conflict and called it a 'immature act of unreasonable war.' Known as 'The Lesson' in Kasimovia the government marks it as the first major learning stone in the state's history to become a serious and stable nation. Since the establishment of Kasimovia the force developed from the Federal Kasimovian Milita into the Kasimovian People's Combat Group, one of the first socialist reforms of the nation.

Equipment

The People's Combat Group mainly use a variety of Croatian, Norwegian and German army surplus. These include Flecktarn apparel and Ushankas for the winter months. The KPCG uses a variety of airsoft weapons such as the FAMAS and MP5K usually known by their own Kasimovian name. A standardized easy to purchase uniform is being worked on for all branches of the military to be in order by late December 2014. As of November 2013 the Military Science Group, a subdivision of the KPCG, has been working on the NLCDD (Non-Lethal Crowd Discharge Device) and ABLE project which comprises of a reconnaissance balloon. The current standard weapon is the MP5K submachine gun and M9 handgun due to their high power and low price.

Branches

Army

Even though the Kasimovian People's Combat Group refers to the whole military it is also the official name for the branch responsible for land-based operations. One of the most active parts of the armed forces, and used mainly to police and maintain borders. It is also devoted to disaster recovery such as flooding and storms of which it preformed successfully in the large November storm of 2013. It forms the bulk of personnel active in the Ashukov military. The primary mission for the Army is too defend Kasimovian territory, promote Kasimovian independence and maintain Kasimovian borders. On left is an example of the KPCG's uniform used in Midstat including the Beretta M9 handgun. It works closely with the airforce and science division to provide support in the air using advanced technology such as the Able Project which is due to start in late January 2014. It is, as all branches, headed by Premier Sebastian Schriber and is a pivotal force in the Ashukov Military, expanding its influence into Norway, the United Kingdom and Denmark. It is one of the most developed micronational forces in the United Kingdom. Recently work has begun on building up the Kiliad Line, installing ditches and an ammo dump. .

Airforce

The Kasimovian People's Airforce is at the forefront of scientific advancement and air superiority throughout micronational armed forces. The new ABLE Project has enabled reconnaissance to be carried out with recordings. Continued throughout its inactivity by hardcore flight enthusiasts it uses a variety of simulators, light aircraft and RC aircraft to carry out operations. A flying camp is planned in early June 2013 where both members of the KPCG and KPAF will attend. Recently the Airforce underwent major reforms, reworking the rank system planned to be put in place in January of the new year. It is the only active air operating combat force in the Ashukov Military and works very closely with the Military Science Unit who developed the ABLE project. An SU-34 combat aircraft can be seen in the KPAF's simulator to the right. Below shows a list of aircraft simulated and officially used by the KPAF. This does not account for the light prop aircraft physically used such as the common Cessna 172. The main simulators used are Microsoft Flight Simulator X and the ArmA games.

Border and Security Force

Perhaps the most successful and active of the branches the BSF is responsible for maintaining the borders and specifically the Kiliad Line. The Kiliad Line is a defensive position located to the North of Kostenburg which includes a large wall which can be stood upon whilst still being protected up to the waist by an extra fence, an ammo dump and a storage facility. They are responsible for designing border signs and making people aware of Kasimovia. They also do passport checks for visitors if needed. During peace time soldiers of the Kasimovian People's Combat Group double up as border patrol officers. Since late 2012 the BSF has remained the same and has successfully done its job. The next plan is to dig a small pit after the wall and scatter stinging nettle seeds into it and fertilizer to make it grow. This will hopefully stop trespassers and also add to the defensive capabilities of the KPCG. They are also responsible for the launch of the ABLE project.

Sub-divisions

Office of State Security

Kasimovia's large intelligence service it has a large database on many nations in the international community and is responsible for 'Keeping the people of Kasimovia and Ashukovo safe by means of covert operations'. It was successful in the Wolf's Rebellion where it first made discoveries of United Kasimovia's movements into a rebel militia and helped quickly disarm the conflict. It was established in late 2012 after a border dispute with New Canada led to a large amount of information gathering on the nation and eventually helped settle the dispute. It was thought that the OSS came in helpful and so it was developed into a fully fledged organization. Its main job is collecting information for its large database on micronations and macronations alike.

Military Science Group

Created for the ABLE Project it advances the reach of the KPCG to new heights. It has been looking into a version of the Molossia Seahorse and a solar balloon not including other projects. It works very closely with the Office of State Security. It managed to create the ABLE Project launch site on schedule and received an award for its effort. It has since launched two partially successful balloons that floated out of control leading to the idea of tethering one to the ground.
