A Juniperian Chief Sergeant Major (JSM) is the most senior non-commissioned officer, there can only be one at a time. The Chief Sergeant Major reports to the Chief of Ground staff of the Juniperian Civil Guard. The role is largely ceremonial, two ranks can be held concurrently.
