History of the Ikerlàndia Independence Day
Prince Iker I founded the Principality of Ikerlàndia on his 12th Birthday on the 1nd May 2019 on the day that independence was declared minor festivities were held over time when the time came on Ikerlàndia's first birthday, celebrations had evolved into a much wider event usually broadcast throughout the nation and beyond with massive celebrations and fireworks as well as massive parades. Every Ikerlàndia Independence Day since Ikerlàndia's founding has been held in a different part of the country each year to bring the festival to every Ikerlandian this tradition still continues to this day.
Preparation
The weeks leading up to Ikerlàndia's Independence Day massive preparations are put in place such as choosing were the main parades will be held during this time not only the organisers of the Independence Day celebrations are making preparations but ikerlandians themselves the last day before Ikerlàndia's Independence Day is known as Great Preparations Day and in most areas of the country is half day and some a full day off from places such as work and school, so ikerlàndians can prepare for Ikerlàndia's Independence Day.
