History
The House of Lords originates from the Imperial age of Cristoria (specifically the Cristorian Empire). The House of Lords has always been significantly less in power than the House of Commons is.
Following the collapse of the Cristorian Empire, the Imperial Government was inherited by the Cristorian Kingdom.
Powers
The House of Lord's has significantly less power than the House of Commons.
They, as well as the House of Commons, use the First-past-the-post voting system, as it is way easier to maintain during an election.
