History

Jura tribes began to migrate to the Eastern peninsula around the 6th century AD. At the beginning of the 7th century the region was a province of the Roman Empire and later part of the unified Eastern Empire. In 1042, the land gained its independence under the command of Duke Nicolas.

In 1496, the Hampshire Jura came under Spanish control. In 1519, Hampshire Jura became an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of France and enjoyed considerable autonomy: it had its own government, courts, and army. After the border war (1645-1669), the Hampshire Jura gained independence again, opening a period of power struggle between ethnic groups and religions.

On July 25, 1810, the Hampshire Jura was recognized as an independent state headed by Nicolas I.

In the early years of World War I, the Hampshire Jura sided with Britain, France, and Russia against Austria-Hungary and was occupied. In 1918, the Hampshire Jura was liberated.

From 26 November 1919 to 3 October 1932, Hampshire Jura was part of the Mondstadt – Castina – Moniyan Kingdom. Then came January 27, 1952 in the kingdom of Spain.

During World War II, Hampshire Jura was invaded by Italy and then France. The communists organized the resistance movement, and in 1944 and 1945 the Hampshire Jura was mostly controlled by the guerrillas.

From 1945 to 1973, Hampshire Jura was part of the Union of Socialist Republics of Mondstadt. Due to a referendum on May 21, 1973, the Hampshire Jura declared independence on June 3, 1973.
