Owing to the political constitution of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land, in which the Crown retains most of the power, it is accepted that it is no longer practical for holders of the Great Offices of State to be members of the House of Lords or House of Oven. The House of Ovens has traditionally been restrained in the passage of financial bills, meaning that the office of Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land is effectively limited to the House of Ovens

The Grate Council of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land Reform act 2018 is the First law of its kind to be enacted in An Act for the Union of of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land and its Special Administrative region Territory's. with provisions this act has been retained permanently on the statute books. The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land act 2010 and all other Acts sections Referring to the Grate Council of The Commonwealth of Marie Byrd Land are to be repealed and replaced with the this act.
