The Grand Duchy of Scranton is a North American micronation landlocked within Luzerne and Lackawanna County. It was originally a Duchy and before that Luzerne and Lackawanna County of NE Pennsylvania. It was formed when Scranton became to populous for PA to handle so it became an autonomous Duchy under PA Jurisdiction. It then became independent by a majority vote and then the Constitution of February 4 then the Constitution of February 6th was signed making it a Grand Duchy.
Etymology
The name was taken from the largest and capital city of Scranton which was named after George W. Scranton.
History
From City to Autonomous Duchy
The city became to populated for PA to check after the Presidential tour and the Office tour of the city in January 31, 2022. The state held a referendum in which it will make Scranton and other too populated cities (ig. Pittsburgh and Philly) into autonomous duchies in Philly's and Scranton's got the majority yes with Pittsburg staying as a city. The city was made an autonomous duchy in February 1, 2022 in which the Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, became the Duke.
From Autonomous Duchy to Micronation
Scranton decided to hold a vote for micro independence in which PA agreed if they keep Wolf as duke but will hold elections every February 4. Duke Wolf decided that he should leave government stuff to the Archduke Desslok. In Scranton city Wolf decided to pass the Constitution of February 4. A micro militia was made with Michael V becoming the Lieutenant and Wolf becoming the Marshal.
National Council
Scranton decided to found the National Council along with other micronations and switched from the dollar to the Mark. Duke Wolf then decided to lead the Committee of War.
From Duchy to Grand Duchy
Scranton having become very popular Duke Wolf decided to pass the Constitution of February 6 in which the micronation became a Grand Duchy under a Grand Duke. A day after that Wolf became the Leader of Treasury in the NC.

Scranton decided to ally with nations within the Nations Council.
Militia
The Militia of the Grand Duchy is led by the Lieutenant which is appointed and led by the Marshal of the Militia (The Grand Duke). The Naions Council also has a Combined Arms Agreement.
