Richardstan is a sovereign state that is more commonly known as a “Micronation”. It is a Duchy and is always going to be a Duchy. Richardstan presides in a Mountainous region of Germany and another classified place in America. The climate is normally Cold in Germany and Hot in America
History
The history of Richardstan is not as long as other nations, but it is still worth reading. It will take you through the important dates of Richardstan, the glorious formation of Richardstan, the rise of the AOM, and of course the heroic death of Shortie the Great. It is all at least worth reading for fun or for your history lesson.
Formation
When our Grand Duke Richard I broke away from Germany a land called Richardstan was formed. Richard wrote a legal constitution and had is parents sign a Declaration of Independence. Richardstan became a Grand Duchy and chose autocracy as its government. Overtime Richard Changed the government to a government called oligarchy, meaning the Duke and his friends’ rule Richardstan.
Shortie the Great
Shortie the Great was a poor little mouse was born on about June 3, 2020. He was killed on June 12, 2020. He was dubbed Shortie the Great because, after his whole family was shot to death, he survived 2 bullets in his side. He is an honorary citizen of Richardstan and has received the Medal of Life, an extremely hard medal to earn because you must go through many hard and possibly painful ordeals in life to protect others. Shortie went through all these ordeals in a short 9-day life period. He is currently the youngest and only holder of the Medal of Life. He also was honored with a 21-gun salute and he was buried by the Grand Duke himself. This day will be remembered by all because it will now be a national holiday in Richardstan.
The Alliance
On April 3, 2020, a Micronation named The Chrothonian Empire was formed with the help of the Grand Duke for Richardstan. The to be emperor was a citizen of Richardstan. Our Grand Duke decided that, even though he should have been arrested for revolution, he would make an alliance with the revolutionary. This alliance is now called the Alliance of Micronations (AOM). Our Grand Duke made an incredibly wise decision that day because Richardstan has benefited greatly from this new nation. But if the Chrothonian Empire tries to take land from Richardstan in any way they will fall by the Royal Militia’s large task force.
The War of Lukeland
The War of Lukeland took place from 2/20/2020-2/25/2020. It is a well famed war because Richardstan was still incredibly young at the time, it was only 15 days old.
The Battle in the Capital
Outnumbered 1 to 2 Richardstan fought for the kingdom of Lukeland to enhance the Richardstanian borders. Due to the newest training tech in Richardstan the Richardstanian navy won this battle and forced King Lukie to bow down to the Richardstanian throne.
The Battle of Riskia
This battle was a Four-way war between the Mandalorian empire, Richardstan, the Anti-Micronation Society (AMS) and Lukeland. Because of an AMS spy murdering the Richardstanian general our g.reat nation had a flaw in the plans and had to reinforce the numbers before the Militia finally won this battle
The War of Xlainia
The War of Xlainia took place on April 3-April 10, 2020. The Xlainian Empire was threatening to overthrow His Majesty, Richard I. The Richardstanian High Council did not take this well and tried to make a peace treaty but the Xlainian Emperor, John Mulbuir, was a ruthless and power-hungry man and so decided to decline the peace treaty. After this he declared war on Richardstan on April 3, 2020.
The Battle of the Borders
The first battle of the Xlainian War was the Battle of the Borders. This battle took place on April 4, 2020 on the borders of Xlainia and Richardstan. The Richardstanian Militia had a spy in Xlainia giving them the advantage. They knew the entire plan that Xlainia had created. In the end Richardstan won a whole region of Xlainia, leaving them with 3 regions left.
The Peace Talks in Xlainia
The next time that Richardstan “fought” in Xlainia was not really a fight at all, it was more of a peaceful talk in a region of Xlainia. The speaker was the Grand Duke himself, Richard I. The talk convinced the people of that region to riot against the Xlainian Government and ended in that region seceding from Xlainia and joining Richardstan. This left Xlainia with 2 regions to control.
The Peace Treaty
After the other 2 regions heard of the great losses in the Border Wars the citizens rioted and forced the Emperor to sign the Peace Treaty that the Richardstanian High Council had provided.
Economy
The economy of Richardstan depend o outside sources because Richardstan currently does not have any supplies of its own.
Etymology
The name comes from the name “Richard”, the 1st Grand Dukes name, and the 1st Grand Dukes favorite movie director Stan Lee, and the Grand Duchy part comes in for the government of Richardstan. The origins of Richardstan started in Germany and then spread far and wide. The current locations of citizens are in Canada, Germany, Chrothonia, and America. The original reason for Richardstan was to have fun and not pay taxes (none of this worked to well though).
Currency
The current currency of Richardstan is the Richardstanian Dollar (R$). R$1 is equal to 1 foot of rope. The better the quality the more it is worth. Currently the government is on a Million Dollar run meaning that they are not charging tax in any form. They are also having all citizens buy supplies from the country that surrounds them.
Government
The Richardstanian government is an oligarchy that is ruled by the Richardstanian High Council. The Council has these key members: The Grand Duke of Richardstan (Elected by the people or Appointed) The Grand Duchess of Richardstan (Appointed) Vice Grand Duke of Richardstan (Appointed) All Princes of Richardstan (Elected by the people) The Secretary of Defense (Appointed) Secretary of Foreign Affairs (Appointed) The Grand Dukes Advisor (Earned) The Grand Duke of Richardstan in Germany (Appointed) The Prime Minister of Richardstan (Elected by the people) The Militia Representative (Elected by Militia) The Top Star General of the Militia (Earned) Once every 2–3 years the ruling court holds a meeting lasting 2 weeks. During this meeting they discuss everything that happened in the last 2–3 years and will decide what will happen in the next 2–3 years.

The Academy
St. Timothy’s Academy is a school in Xlania. The students there are bound to be great leaders in the future. At the academy they are taught many different classes depending on what they want to be. The most common jobs chosen are: The Grand Dukes Advisor or An Entrepreneur.
Casinos
The casinos of Richardstan have become incredibly famous for people who walk in indebt and then walking out as Millionaires. The most famous is the one in the capital, The National Casino of Richardstan. This casino has been dubbed The Fountain of Gold. The reason of this is because you automatically earn R$100. You are given R$100 free to start you off if you are a beginner. There are currently no privately owned casino except the Grand Dukes private casino in his palace. Only VIP’s and personal guests can gamble here.
Very Important Person
Very Important People (VIP) can access many different areas that normal citizens are not legally allowed to access. For instance, they can get in to special areas in any club, casino, airports, planes, or restaurant. There are also VIP clubs, casinos, and restaurants that only VIP’s can enter. VIP’s are still considered ordinary citizens with VIP memberships. To get a VIP membership you must pay a fine of R$1,000. The reason for this is that as a VIP you do not have to pay taxes. They have different rights then other citizens without VIP membership.
The Royal Militia
The Royal Militia of Richardstan is a very celebrated Military because of its victory in the War of Xlainia. There are 6 main branches of the Royal Militia. They consist of: The Infantry, The Airforce, The Navy, The Space Force The Marines Corps, And 6th team. 6th team is a classified Militia Branch that is a better form of Special Forces. No member of the Royal Militia is aloud to run for any government job besides the position of Militia Representative. All these Branches go through Basic Training and then a 1-year training on whatever they specialise in. They must also have a bachelor’s and master’s degree. The Infantry goes through Basic Training, ground battle course, an air jump from Blackhawks, a war simulation, and then a course in whatever they want as a military job.
The Airforce goes through Basic Training, a brief ground battle course, a parachute test and jump, flight lessons, a bombing run, brief mechanics lessons, and then a course in whatever their main job will be.
The Navy goes through Basic Training, a mile swim, ship piloting courses, torpedo launching, and a course in whatever their main job will be. The Marine Corps take each of Infantry, Airforce, and Navy training, and whatever their main job will be. 6th team is classified.
Awards of the Militia
There are currently only a few awards that the Militia can earn because the nation is still new. These are the awards you can earn and how to earn them The Medal of Life is earned by risking your life to save another’s. Normally this award is earned posthumously. There is currently only 1 holder of this award and that is Shortie the Great for his actions for his family. This award can also be earned by normal citizens of Richardstan. Medal of Honour is earned by heroic actions in a war. It is mainly earned for those that take out enemy objects. This award can only be earned by the Royal Militia
