The Governorate of Tabas, commonly known as Tabas is the 12th largest province of Tyrillym. Tabas holds the capital city of Illym, and Illym is additionally the provincial capital. Tabas was first held by pan-Tyrillian authority in spring of 2019, after the Redwood defeat at Wind Hill to provide a capital away from warfare. In late 2020, modern day Tabas was split between the Shahawk Tribe and the Ikash Tribe. The Ikashian capital in Tabas would fall due to natural disaster and Ikash Tribe would later lose its territory in Tabas and even later become a colonial possession of Shahawkia. Years of Shahawkian authority would elapse and in May 2024 the Empire would dissolve, and Tabasphillym along with it, in lieu being replaced by the Kingdom of Tyrillym, and specifically the Governorate of Tabas.
Etymology
Historically, the origins of Tabas's first name, North Jayboya, are unknown.
At Shahawkia's peak, modern day Tabas was known as Tabasphillym which meant "beacon of hope." Tabas was given its name due to the history of its preceding province.
History
In spring 2019, the Egalian army defeated Redwood forces at Wind Hill. In a final attempt at revenge, a staged lie was set to limit Stephen's power over the tribe. While it did work, Stephen was able to establish a new province in modern day Tabas then known as North Jayboya. North Jayboya would remain in pan-Tyrillian authority for years, always being the national capital ever since.
North Jayboya would be later referred to as Kishtadi, Axis, as many other names. The Governorate in modern day was originally split into several different states named after the moons of Saturn. Eventually, the Governorate would expand.
Tabas would gain the Decillic land shortly thereafter which would become a popular attraction.
In the winter of 2020, Ikash Tribe and Shahawk Tribe would share the land of Tabas. Ikash Tribe got a small province near Kishtadi (modern day Illym), however it was short-lived, and Ikashian territory in Tabas would dissipate soon after and it would be reconquered.
After years of elapsed Shahawkian authority, the province became known most famously as Tabasphillym. On 19 May 2024 the Empire dissolved and in lieu the Kingdom of Tyrillym was established, with it, the Governorate of Tabas.
Tabas was originally just in a small area in metropolitan Tyrillym, however in the modern day Tabas has expanded all over the region inhabited by pan-Tyrillians over the years.
