The Federal Government of the Reimar Republic is the sole institution responsible for governing the nation and in general, directing the day-to-day operations of the country. The government is headed by the President of the Reimar Republic. The government is divided into three categories: judicial, legislative and executive.

Legislative Branch

The legislative branch, headed by the Samanôn (The Senate), is the sole decision-making body in The Reimar Republic. The Samanôn is responsible for creating, vetoing, proposing or otherwise deciding on bills. These decisions must represent the will of the people and of the constitution.

Judicial Branch

The judiciary is absolutely independent from government interference except for cases when national security is at risk. The Supreme Court of The Republic shall be the most powerful court. The Supreme Court of The Republic shall erect/create lower courts in said localities. The Supreme Court goes over federal issues and controversies and resolve them, aswell as in cases of political turmoil, therefore it operates similar to the US Supreme Court.

Executive Branch

The executive branch is headed by the Chancellor who holds elections and appoints the President.

Chancellor

The Chancellor's duties include, as mentioned in the Draft:Republic of Reimar: appointing ministers upon the suggestion of the President, being Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, representing the Reimar Republic intermicronationally, holding elections for the Presidential position, approving government policy and proposing, vetoing or approving bills in the Senate (Samanôn).

President

The President is Head of Government and responsible for awarding honors, appointing military officers, suggesting new ministries be created, accrediting diplomats, appointing and dismissing federal judges and has the power to pardon. Article 9.
