The Free State of Rivera (Rivera for Short) was founded on 1 February 2021, when its President Rayyan Habayeb (full name: Rayyan Areg Mazen Suhail Nasri Gergies Habayeb) founded the micronation in his bedroom. Shortly after, the treaty of the Cedar House gave Rivera control of the rest of the President's house. Soon after, Vice Presidents, Generals and Heads were chosen. But, on 3 February, the head of the Military Mohammad Ali Itani declared his own country independent, and a civil war broke out. After a few short hours, the civil war ended, with a treaty that stated that 2 nations would be formed: the Free State of Rivera and Gungan. On February 4, an alliance was made official between the 2 countries, and apologies were exchanged by both sides.
