The Free City Nation of Penguinea, or simply Penguinea, is an unrecognized self-proclaimed sovereign state in North America that was founded on June 14, 2014, by Isaiah Deegan. It was created as an entity for a comic book series he was working on called "Tiny the Penguin". The country was not originally meant to be a serious entity, but it nevertheless gained a constitution with a King and two Chief Ministers which was based off of the United States Constitution, though it was different in many ways. The country is not a monarchy, despite having a King. The country gained independence after Isaiah made a petition for people to recognize the independence of his new country. It gained at least four signatures, and Isaiah used it as justification for his country's independence. The country is also led by a Fascist party called the "Know-Nothing Party of Penguinea", which is based off of the American political party called the "Know-Nothings", though the official name of the party was the "American Party". The country's official religion is Montanist Christianity, which was a Christian movement that originated in the 3rd Century AD. The country is around 4,000 to 4,300 square feet and has a population of about 1 to 6 individuals at all times.
Etymology
The name of the country is a mixing of the word "Penguin" and "Guinea". It is pronounced as the word "Penguin" with the ending of "-ia", despite the word "Guinea" ending with "-ee". It is derived from the comic series "Tiny the Penguin", which was developed by Isaiah Deegan, the founder of the nation.

Pre-History
Independence
Isaiah Deegan secured the independence of Penguinea by simply holding a petition, which in the end gained four signatures. Despite the signatures being minimal and only containing Isaiah's direct family and friends, he treated it like an independence referendum and just said his country was independent with this declaration:
"I now declare myself King of this new free city nation of Penguinea on the claim that I have the approval of the people that live here and that I also live here and now rule because they want me to rule."
A strange political system was adopted where separation of powers was maintained through three individuals, the King and his three Chief Ministers. A constitution that is divided into three books that total up to 83 articles, with 36 in the first book, 17 in the second book, and 30 in the third book. The original constitution was written as three separate comic books that were the interpreted into a constitutional document based on what was shown on each page. Each page has a drawing on it, since each book is a comic book that tells the story of Tiny the Penguin. Then this basically forms the basis of Penguinea's constitution. How this became the constitution is anyone's guess. This then created a strange political system from an equally strange document. This system would be a One-party Fascist Crowned Republic.
