Monmouth station is a commuter rail station in southern Satago that serves as the southern terminus of SARTA's Monmouth Line. The station's main purpose is to shuttle students between University of House Hold in Western Brunswick and points north. The station consists of one side platform adjacent to Track 3 and a island platform between Track 1 and 2. Hrail services bypass the station on Track 1.
Services
SARTA
The Monmouth station is the southern terminus of SARTA's Monmouth Line. SARTA has proposed to increase service to the station by extending a small number of Capital Line to the station. SARTA also plans to run a new commuter line between Brunswick, Monmouth, and Parliament Hill. In Summer 2022 SARTA will start a subway service between 3rd Street and Government Centre.
Hrail
Hrail operates two services through the station. Both services, the House Holdian and Senatorial do not serve the station. Many proposes have been made for Hrail's House Holdian to serve the station however trains currently do not. Hrail trains can only run on Track 1 do to tracks 2 and 3 terminating just south of the station. Hrail and SARTA plan to work on extending Track 3 southeast toward Brunswick for commuter and intercity service. This will likely result in some Hrail trains to service the station. For Hrail service passengers must change at Parliament Hill.
Bus service
SARTA operates a shuttle bus to and from University of House Hold. SARTA also operates a bus to Wagga Window City Commuter station.
Station layout
Monmouth station has three tracks. Track 1 is used for Salem Line service along with Hrail trains passing the station. Track 2 is used primarily by Monmouth Line trains but also by a small number of Salem Line trains. Track 3 is used for departing Monmouth Line trains.
