The Federation of Farlands was first founded in 2015 by the monarch, Kuban Khan. It is based solely in the United Kingdom and Norway. With a central political stance the Federation is comprised of various states known as Oblasts.Each oblast can control its laws and each has various cultures, religions and styles, making the nation widely varied in nature. These oblasts comprise of Romanza, Altana, and Pitcairn. Each state is led by a Khan. The Khan sets district laws. The national government led by the current Prime Minister Joseph Peto, sets laws which the entire nation must abide, regardless of Oblast. This is largely similar to the American style, federal system. The Prime minister reports to the effective leader of the nation who is currently . The Baronet Sheikh controls all aspects of the nation including and not limited to, Military, government, foreign affairs and more. The role is superseded by the Monarch who ratifies and assents laws.
Etymology
The word Farlands derives originally from Aberdeenshire in North-east Scotland. The name originated from a Scottish chief in the ninth century. The name also has a personal effect, by giving the feeling of worldwide influence and wide-reach in the nations name.
History
Government History
The Federation of Farlands was first formed in 2015 by the emperor Kuban Khan. His unique vision of a old-new mix of tribes and nations, highly influenced the structure of the Farlands government.
The initial nation was only small and did not engage in micronational activities on online platforms. The Emperor was largely concentrated on claiming land and the online aspect would follow suit naturally.
It was in 2020 that this occurred. When the current Baronet Sheikh and Prime Minister joined, the experience of both combined individuals, allowed the nation to form a variety of connections with many other Groups.
The Nation has not engaged in warfare and believes in a more peaceful and productive approach. However, the current Baronet Sheikh has engaged in online war between COMSOV and the anti-communist party, affirming his experience if necessary. He won along with colleagues of another nation by not acknowledging the conflict even existed, breaking down the enemy and leading to their downfall. This was largely assisted by the Antonian Empire and COMSOV
Government and politics
Senate
Law and Order
The largest group for law and order is the National police. The chief of the police force is The current emperor and governs from a purely ceremonial stance. The effective leader is the Baronet Shekih and he/she commands the force in operations.
The police force carries out the enforcement of the national laws and reprimands all who are found to be guilty of a crime. This takes place in one of the Courts. Punishments range from Warnings to removal of citizenship for serious offences such as treason or murder.
The Farlands is a peaceful nation and aims to be throughout. The law ultimately aims to rehabilitate all who are found guilty, reintegrating them into an ordinary life.
Courts: the courts come at a variety of levels.
- District court - trivial matters such as divorces, marital abuse etc.
- Crown Court - For serious crimes such as drug trafficking
- Supreme Court - For the most serious of crimes against the State and Crown such as treason and terrorism.

Military
Farlands has a small militarial unit known as Danube De Divison the divine emperor). The nation is widely pacifist and believes in war as a last resort. Hence, the Military is mostly used for ceremonial duties and for the protection of The Emperor and high officials. They engage largely in state occasions and provide guards of honour, music and protection to those present.
A policy of becoming a citizen in Farlands is the 3 day minimum service time required. All citizens must enlist temporarily in a Military service. This encourages teamwork, leadership skills and prepares all citizens in the event of a war.
Climate and Geography
Oblasts
Romanza - The Republic of Romanza, mostly made up islands of Norway's south coast, made of more than 10 khantuns, every khantuns has it's own Khan (District ruler). The climate is largely varying yet lies on average at 5C
Altana, the second to It is very isolated.
- The overlying factor of coastal life comes with a variety of challlenges and advantages. The federation of Farlands believes wholeheartedly in the protection of the environment in the race to halt climate change. Farlands can witness first hand the problems that the globe faces and is forefronting the micronational push to mitigate its impacts. However, the coast also comes with a variety of benefits such as large fish reserves, high biodiversity, which leads to increased tourism.

Culture
Romanza - Every citizen speaks english fluent, although some has developed an language mixed with esperanto, and latin, since it's border is with Norway. There is also also a norwegian influence, most citizens don't own telephones, or any technology, they mostly use radio to communicate. Since the nation is spread, it's hard to know the exaclty population. Every citizen has to do an army service for a minimum of 3 days.
Pitcairn - located in east pacfic made up With small islands, largest city and Capital is Adamstown or also called Alta. It has a long history, being the first to join after Romanza.
