The Empire of Lifréia is a semi-constitutional monarchy located in the island of Wolin, in the northern coast of the Republic of Poland, on the Baltic Sea. Founded by the Kanfre Ivan VII on 8 May 2015. Inspired by the Russian Empire during the reign of Alexander II and Nicholas II, it is a micronational project operating as a political simulation.
Etymology
The name "Lifréia" is Latin for "Land of Lifre". Lifre was a mythological being of Lifreian mythology, often called the "Dark Star of The Morning". Legend has that he killed his brother in a feud over his first cousin, a maiden desired by both brothers. Lifre won, but his soul was shattered, for he killed of his own kin.
The kinslayer deity is especially popular with folk singers within the Empire. The first known usage of the "Lifréia" name was in a comedic screenplay about espionage during the Cold War written by Ivan VII, a satire of the "eurospy" genre.

Government and politics
A monarchy since its foundation, was reestructured in mid-July 2016, when the senate, then a bicameral legislature, became unicameral with its jurisdiction subordinate to the Kanfre. Currently, is a one-party state, with the dominant Nationalist Party Of Lifréia in control.
Military
The Kanfre is the Marshall of the Armed Forces.
Geography and climate
The climate in Wolin is warm and temperate. The is a great deal of rainfall in Wolin, even in the driest month. This location is classified as Cfb by Köppen and Geiger. In Wolin, the average annual temperature is 8.7 °C. Precipitation here averages 547 mm.
Economy
Pratically non-existant at the moment. The currency is the Lifre, but the preffered and actualy used currency is the Brazillian Real.
Culture
With a very strong influence by the Polish culture, the Lifreian culture could be described as very traditional. Lamburgrad, the Capital, being described as a "European Floripa", with its brazilian influences, primarily by the strong Azorean culture provenient of the descendents that reside on the island of Florianópolis.
Media
The most popular form of media in Lifréia is the cinema. The national film industry of Lifréia is semi-nonexistant, with the country being domined by foreign productions. Roughly, one screenplay is written every year, but does not end up being produced. Television is a secundary form of media, along with radio broadcasts. The lifreian literary industry consists primarily of short stories or tales.
