The Emergency Alert System of the Tsardom of Phokland (abbreviated as the PIEAS or EAS) is a system created by the phoklandian government. The service was created to keep the population of the nation informed about threats to their safety.
Weather alerts
The primary use of the EAS system is to warn citizens about oncoming threats in the forms of large storms and (more commonly) high heat.
Imminent threats
The secondary use of the EAS system is to broadcast alerts regarding immediate threats to the nation's national security. An example of this would be a notification about a deceleration of war.
Means of broadcasting
Alerts are most commonly sent via the state YouTube channel. However, in the past alerts have been sent through the national news paper.
