Elijah Winterville is the Supreme Emperor of the Marxist Empire, as well as the founder and Supreme President of the National Political Alliance. They are a former citizen of an allied micronation, the Republic of New Southland. However, they fled the country after a failed rebellion, and formed their own nation. They rule the Marxist Empire through an autocratic dictatorship, and the nation is built upon communist economic ideals. The Marxist Empire is a totalitarian state.
History
The Kingdom of The Black Knights
The first trace of Elijah Winterville within the micronational community was back to June of 2021. They had joined a micronation named The Kingdom of The Black Knights, formed by Nathaniel Burner. While the country was still in its early stages, they formed a revolution, with Andrew Ongelburger as his partner. Elijah Winterville initially named this revolution the 'Dick Head Revolution,' but was persuaded to rename it to the 'Baguette Revolution.' Their revolution was swiftly struck down by twenty-strong military at the time, assisted by Andrew Ongelburger who had betrayed Elijah Winterville. After their revolution had collapsed, Elijah was exiled from the nation.
New Southland
Barensky Dynasty
The Kingdom of The Black Knights, now named the Republic of New Southland, was now ruled by Marcus Barensky, after Nathaniel Burner unofficially left the kingdom and the population had dropped significantly. Elijah Winterville assisted Marcus in the formation of New Southland, and was somewhat of an advisor to the President. After returning to the nation, Elijah was initially granted the Prime Minister position, however, they were kicked from this position as the leaders of New Southland weren't sure they could trust them after his attempted revolution. Ethan Wiggle had taken his place. However, Elijah Winterville won the first official election to determine who became the Prime Minister, and Marcus Barensky decided that they could have the position. After assisting the president with managing the country for a month, Elijah Winterville lost the next election to Zachary Shell, who had run in opposition to him. Zachary Shell had two terms in this position, as he was quite popular among the citizens and leaders of New Southland. After temporarily joining the military, Elijah Winterville formed their own political party, in opposition to Zachary Shell. However, another political party had been formed around the same time, which was formed by Cory Angelstone. Cory won the next election, which prompted Elijah Winterville and Zachary Shell to join forces and merge political parties. This idea didn't live long though, as Marcus Barensky was forced to flee the country for personal reasons. After Marcus fled the country, the nations leadership was in shambles, which was when Elijah decided to strike. Together with Zachary Shell, they formed a rebellion, bearing the name 'Viva La Rebellion'. They had the power of their political party behind them as well, which held a third of the political seats. Their party was renamed from The National Elijah Winterville Party to The National Uprising Party in support of their rebellion. However, Quinn Kompana took control of the country much faster than expected, and 'Viva La Rebellion' collapsed. Elijah Winterville knew that they would face capital punishment, especially as the new President was much harsher than Marcus Barensky. Elijah Winterville and Zachary Shell fled the country as their last resort.
The Marxist Empire
After fleeing the country, Elijah Winterville and Zachary Shell decided to form their own country, bearing the name 'Marxist Empire'. Elijah Winterville established power over this new nation by forming an autocratic dictatorship. This was led by themself, claiming the Supreme Emperor position, and Zachary Shell as the Supreme Chancellor, the second most powerful position in the nation. After forming this new nation, Elijah Winterville believed Quinn Kompana would destroy them, so they declared war first. Elijah Winterville contacted Quinn Kompana after this declaration, demanding recognition. Quinn Kompana responded with a peaceful negotiations.
After ending the war on New Southland, and forming an alliance with them, Elijah focused on securing alliances with fellow micronations, including several allies of New Southland. They planned to diplomatically secure as many alliances as possible to strengthen the new nation.
On October 16, 2022, a union of micronations intent on destroying corruption within fellow micronations, named the Micronational Banning Contract, contacted the Supreme Emperor, Elijah Winterville. They had declared war on The Marxist Empire. However, after negotiations with the leader of this union, Elijah Winterville was able to convince them to surrender and begin peaceful negotiations. Unfortunately, in the agreement that the leader of the Micronational Banning Contract had formed, he had hidden text which claimed that once the agreement had been signed, Elijah Winterville had to hand over the nation to the union. However, as Elijah Winterville had expected this, they were able to use a loophole relating to the territories of the nation which allowed them to regain control of the nation. The leader of the Micronational Banning Contract ended negotiations after failing a political takeover. Elijah declared themself victorious in the war and political conflicts that had followed.
On October 19, 2022, The Micronational Banning Contract declared war on the Marxist Empire again. They had resorted to online vandalism and the spreading of misinformation to attempt to destroy the nation's public reputation. Elijah Winterville attempted to resolve the issue diplomatically. After days of political discussion, the war against the Micronational Banning Contract came to an end. Although it is unclear who won the second conflict, the Supreme Emperor, Elijah Winterville, declared an overall victory for the nation, as the MBC ended the war on Elijah's terms. However, the MBC warned The Marxist Empire that their allies would declare war against the nation. Elijah Winterville raised national security to the highest level in response to this threat. The only action that the allies of the MBC took was an attempt to create a rebellion, promising all parties involved that they would become the leader of the nation. However, the rebellion was stomped out quickly by the Supreme Emperor, who had learnt of their plans and took immediate action to contain the situation. Following this attempted rebellion, the MBC and their allies ended hostile relations with the Marxist Empire.
On November 24, 2022, the Marxist Empire annexed the former Republic of New Southland, now named the Territory of New Southland. This was due to the fact that the government of the former Republic of New Southland had fallen into inactivity. The Supreme Emperor saw this as a chance to strike, and issued an annexation of New Southland. They launched an invasion against their former ally, and with no resistance, the Supreme Emperor gained sovereignty over the former nations territory. New Southland was temporarily issued territorial status within the Marxist Empire until an official agreement was reached. The Supreme Emperor, Elijah Winterville, began appointing new leaders of the territory, and the former population of New Southland were spread throughout the regions of the Marxist Empire accordingly.
On December 6, 2022, Elijah Winterville founded the National Political Alliance, an international and intermicronational organisation with the purpose of spreading political and ideological equality within the larger international community. Upon founding the NPA, there were two member states, the Marxist Empire and the Vassal State of New Southland. However, the Empire of Essizia joined the NPA two days later. The main body of the National Political Alliance is the General Council, where all member states of the NPA can appeal to the Supreme President, Elijah Winterville, for internal changes. All member states of the NPA have an individual alliance with and mutually recognise all other member states of the organisation. Additonally, all member states of the NPA hold an economic, militaristic and political alliance with the NPA as a whole. All nations are welcome to join the National Political Alliance, as the goal of the organisation is to accept all beliefs and ideologies. The organisation was founded by Elijah Winterville in order to spread political and ideological equality within the larger international community. It is the wish of the Supreme President, Elijah Winterville, that all nations and people of the world can accept different ideologies, without widespread prejudice and conflict.

The National Political Alliance is an international and intermicronational organisation founded by the Marxist Empire on December 6, 2022. The NPA serves as an economic, militaristic and political alliance between member states, with the purpose of spreading political and ideological equality within the larger international community. There are currently three members within the NPA, consisting of the founding state and head of the alliance, the Marxist Empire, the Vassal State of New Southland and the Empire of Essizia. The NPA is governed by the Supreme President, Elijah Winterville, and as an extension of that, the Marxist Empire as a whole.

Membership
Membership within the National Political Alliance is divided into two categories; observer status and membership status.
Observer Status
For a state to gain observer status within the National Political Alliance, they must recognise the Marxist Empire as a nation. Additionally, they must recognise the NPA as an organisation, and support its goal. If a nation has met these requirements, they may apply to join the NPA as an observer state. If accepted by the Supreme President, they will become an observer state of the NPA.
Membership Status
For a state to gain membership status within the National Political Alliance, they must meet the following requirements;
- Mutually recognise all member states upon joining
- Hold an individual alliance with all member states
- Never have held negative relations with the Marxist Empire
- Never have had conflict with a member state, unless the member state in question allows it
- Sign an agreement with the Supreme President ratifying the NPA Charter within their nation, and allowing their state membership status
If allowed by the Supreme President, a state may be granted membership status within the NPA.

Elijah Winterville is described as being intelligent and cynical. They are known for having a dark sense of humour and acting in a rebellious matter. They are also quite forward thinking and progressive, especially compared to the residents of their former nation, New Southland. Elijah Winterville is an atheist.
