eSports klub Bogorodica is a Græcian eSports club based in the borough of Marijin breg, New Yugoslavia Voivodeship, Græcia.
History
The club was established on 18 December 2020 AD in Marijin breg (then known as Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), New Yugoslavia Voivodeship, Græcia, exactly one month after the establishment of the borough's ball sports club, Budućnost.
Club crest and team colours
The club's crest has a unique design, inspired by the logo of the most famous association football club of the surrounding macronational area: Dinamo Zagreb. It is a blue shield with a black outline, the term "eSports klub" on top and the name "Bogorodica" on the bottom, a red and white chequy pattern on the top left portion, and a white firesteel in the middle which, although used by the Serbs today, is actually a Byzantine heraldic element – the Hellenic letter beta (Β β) used to symbolise the word "Byzantium" and commonly mistaken for a firesteel. Therefore, in this case, this is a symbol for "Bogorodica", the club's name, which is a calque of Hellenic "Theotokos" (Hellenic: Θεοτόκος), i.e. Virgin Mary, who appears on the borough's coat of arms.
The club's colours are blue and white, which is the colour scheme of the borough that has also been adopted by its other sports club.
