The Duskiean Union (DU) is a supranational political and economic union of 3 member states that are primarily located in the Sierra Vista, Arizona region. The Duskiean Union has been described as a sui generis political entity, combining the characteristics of both a federation and confederation.
Containing a total of 98% of the duskiean population in 2024, the DU member states are the primary representative entities for the Duskiean people, and the federal union serves as a means to represent the unified Duskiean nation in the micronational world.
The DU was established when the Safford Treaty came into effect in 2019. DU politics aim to ensure the free movement of the Duskiean people, goods, service and capital (where applicable); enact legislation and maintain common policies on trade. Passport controls have been abolished between the participating states, similar to that of the EU’s Schengen Area. While a common currency has been proposed (Duskiean Kroner), it has failed to be implemented.
