Information on Koudeiland

Koudeiland is an unrecognized island nation located in Antarctica’s sub-Antarctic islands region North of the Antarctic Peninsula and Southeast of Argentina. Koudeiland has a population of over 60,000 people and the capital city of Koudeiland which is called Pinguïn Kreek has two out of every three people in Koudeiland. Over 40,000 people live in Pinguïn Kreek. Koudeiland archipelago has two main islands. The largest island in Koudeiland is known as Koudeiland Island and is disproportionately larger than the next largest island, Albatross Pearl Island, which is the second largest island in Koudeiland. Koudeiland is technically located near in Antarctica just as is South Georgia Island, South Sandwich Islands, French Southern and Antarctic Lands, and Falklands islands.

Koudeiland’s president has been Ahmad Visser since New Year’s in year 2000. Koudeiland’s vice president is Fazlallah Koudeilandi. Koudeiland accepts United States Dollars, Argentine Pesos, and the Antarctic Dollar which is technically not legal tender but is still widely used and accepted in Koudeiland. There are 21,752 people in Koudeiland’s military, making it one of the most militarized nations in the world with one third of Koudeiland’s population doing voluntary military service. The military costs Koudeiland an average annual budget of 2 billion dollars. The small island nation of Koudeiland has a GDP of 7 billion dollars which is similar to what Bermuda makes. HLVA (Pagan Extremist Group), JAFAAA (Muslim Defense Team), and the Orca Tail Choppers (Street Gang)

JAFAAA is an acronym for Jaysh Almujahidin fi Alqarat Alqutbiat Aljanubia which is Arabic for Islamic Mujihadeen Army in Antarctica. JAFAAA is an active group of Shia and Sunni Muslims in Koudeiland who seek to fight and eradicate the HLVA (Heidens Leger van Antarctica) which is an extremist group of pagans who attack people of monotheistic faiths. HLVA is responsible for many attacks on innocent Muslims in Koudeiland and have links to the Orca Tail Choppers, a violent gang based on East 27th Street and Orca Tail Avenue which is responsible for numerous robberies and major violent crimes. Infact, on July 17th 2007, the Orca Tail Choppers’ motorcycle club blocked an intersection to stop a convoy of Muslims from reaching a funeral and later that day they attacked attendees of the funeral with illegally obtained materials which were highly combustible. The materials in question are still unknown to the public to prevent farther attacks. JAFAAA and HLVA have been constantly fighting since early 2016. On Gletsjer Mountain where it is rural and hard for police to access, rumors of caves inside of the snow often pop up every Winter. JAFAAA is responsible for digging tunnels under heavy snow to attack HLVA members who walk above with specialized snowshoes. Taking the fighting into the snowy mountains allows HLVA and JAFAAA to get away with violent clashes before police show up and escape before cops are even on the way. JAFAAA is made up with Muslims from all schools of thought widely practiced in Koudeiland, both Shia and Sunni branches, and it is not believed that JAFAAA is radical, however, JAFAAA has links to many radical groups that don’t even get along with each other. JAFAAA supplied homemade smoke-makers to the Houthis, a Zaydi Shia movement in Yemen. JAFAAA also supplied the same smoke-makers to ISIS, a Sunni Salafi extremist group with radical ideas and a violent track record. At the same time, Kurdish fighters allied with the US military who fight against ISIS were supplied with tear gas, pepper spray, and smoke-makers by JAFAAA. It seems that JAFAAA doesn’t align themselves with anyone but individual members of JAFAAA act on behalf of the group and send supplies and messages to Islamist groups and movements of their own choices.

HLVA is very organized and has carried out various publicity stunts and attacks against Muslims across Koudeiland. The government of Koudeiland has condemned HLVA for their senseless violence and anti-Islamic sentiment. Koudeiland’s government is actively fighting HLVA by setting up sting operations. On the 15th of October in 2022, Koudeiland’s army staged a fake Islamic gathering in an abandoned warehouse and posted flyers for the gathering in the areas where no Muslims typically went which were frequented by HLVA members. The next day, as 718 HLVA members showed up, the army detained them and investigated each member. 414 members were arrested for bringing weapons, 27 more for bringing illegal drugs, and 8 for assaulting the army officers. That was the biggest crackdown on HLVA in Koudeiland’s history and significantly weakened the group’s capabilities and numbers, the effects of which are still seen to this very day. It is estimated that there are a total of 1,827 members of HLVA including ones who were jailed and those who were detained and later released. JAFAAA is believed to have 3,907 members. the Koudeilandik language

Koudeilandic with a “C” means someone from Koudeiland. Koudeilandik with a “K” on the end means the Koudeilandik language.

Koudeilandik is a conlang, meaning it is a constructed language. Koudeilandik was created in early 2003 to help create a sense of belonging and create Koudeilandic nationalism.

The Koudeilandik language has 11,000 speakers in Koudeiland (which has a total of over 60,000 inhabitants) and is used in Koudeiland’s official government documents and in schools. Koudeilandik is a unique language like no other which is only even slightly close to being easy to learn if you speak Koudeiland Kreyol, Indonesian, Arabic, Tamil, Greenlandic, Icelandic, Dutch, and Mongol all very fluently and are good at poetry and “word mixing” which in this case refers to the moving of words as such:

Example: “I can go outside to play happily” becomes “Outsidepl aytogohap pilycan I” when you do this “word mixing” thing. It’s hard for me to explain, even though I am a university graduate.

Koudeilandik is a very complex language with multiple sets of contradicting grammatical rules and a few words can say a lot of very specific meaning depending on their arrangement and where they are split in a sentence. Multiple words have the same meaning and each word can mean different things depending on context. Words are butchered by “word mixing” which I mentioned earlier and their pronunciation can vary. Koudeilandik is likely one of the hardest conlangs and that is likely why it is confined mostly to Koudeiland and the majority of the population there doesn’t speak it.
