the United Congress of Labor is a Political coalition in the Republic of Oriana. It is a de-facto successor to the political parties Leuia and Socialist Labor Party, formed on May 21st, 2024, after the Abolition of political parties.
History
the SKP was formed on May 21st, 2024, after the Republic of Oriana de-facto banned all political parties. Although it is often considered a political party outside of Oriana, the SKP functions in practice more as an electoral alliance, with it endorsing specific candidates. Along with this, it advocates publicly for policy, endorsing said policy, and also organizing efforts to reach it's goals outside of the political sphere.
After the May 2024 Oriani general election, the SKP would form a parliamentary bloc of the same name. It currently holds 3 of the 6 seats in the Narodna Rada.
Ideology
the SKP's ideology is self-described as "Pragmatic Socialism". The coalition's ideology generally revolves around a Union-led reform towards a "Nonpartisan Democracy with a Worker's Economy". It also advocates for Municipalities to function as Direct democracies. It is opposed to both Marxism-Leninism and the LaRouche Movement.
