Kingdom of Wilho

Grøßna, also known as The Territorial State of Grøßna, is a part of Nordmeer land that is partially sovereign and has its own leader, yet having the same time zone, currency, capital, and even culture. Grøßna was once a large kingdom the size of two Molossias (mostly trees and lumber) known as the Kingdom of Wilho, which then dissolved in 1996 due to the death of its last official leader.

Etymology

Grøßna is a mix of the words Grøß, which is german for “large” or “big” and Keweenaw, which is the County that Grøßna originates from.

History

First settlers and the formation of the Kingdom of Wilho

Grøßna’s first settlers were some Finnish Immigrants that came from the Grand Duchy of Finland in 1884 to now day Calumet

Poscard of early Grøßnan settlers, Juho I and Wilho I

It wasn’t until the early 1940’s when Juho and Wilho began construction on a new cabin in lake linden that would be Juho’s permanent home when it turned out that no city owned that land that Juho and Wilho were building on and was technically not yet government land, meaning that they could make it their own kingdom. In 1964 Juho Taivaloja I passed away meaning that Wilho owned all the property, this would be the year that the Kingdom of Wilho was unofficially declared sovereign.

The fall of Wilho and a new era

In theme early 1990’s, Wilho’s health was deteriorating as the land that was once not government owned was now apart of Lake Linden, in 1996, Wilho passed and the Kingdom was finally dissolved. This land would remain as US territory until 2024.

Nordmeer’s annexation

In June of 2024, Some old peices of the land (including new land) was annexed to Nordmeer where Grøßna would stay as a Territory of Nordmeer to the present day.
