The Socialist Republic of Eldoria, more commonly known as Eldoria, is a socialist micronation between France and Italy. It declared independance from these two countries on May 21 2023, and is now governed by the Provisional Government of the Socialist Republic of Eldoria. The whole country is based upon democratic worker's and soldier's councils, also known as soviets. Eldoria has not established relations with other Micronational entities yet.

Etymology

Eldoria comes from the Spanish El Dorado, which literally translates to "the golden". It was a legendary realm that was supposed to be full of gold and ressources.

History

The Socialist Republic of Eldoria declared independance from France and Italy on May 21, 2023 and Margaux Stassova has been elected as President of the Provisional Government since then.

Politics and government

The whole country is based upon democratic worker's and soldier's councils, also known as "soviets", organizing the economy and electing delegates. The citizens of Eldoria elected a Provisional Government on May 21 2023 right after the signature of the declaration of Independance, and is supposed to create a Constitution for the new Republic, that will be submitted to a referendum.

Provisional Government

The Provisional Government of the Socialist Republic of Eldoria is submitted to the citizens of Eldoria and any of its members can be ejected from it if a majority of Eldorians thinks it is necessary. Yet, it holds executive and Legislative power among the Republic while creating a Constitution. It is led by Margaux Stassova, who is also the de facto head of state so far.

Eldoria is a democratic country but has only one registered Political Party so far, even though it is not a one-party State.

Law and order

Law and order are currently de facto delivered by the Provisional Government, however Eldoria has a stunning 0% criminality rate.

Military

The army of Eldoria is called the Popular Armed Forces but currently does not have any active military personnel.

Foreign relations

Eldoria has set its goal to reach Internationalism, because of its Bolshevik-Leninist roots. However it has not reached out to other Micronational Entities yet.

Geography and climate

Eldoria is set between France and Italy, it is home to the Alps mountains in the East and to the Rhone river in the West.

Economy

The economy of Eldoria is a democratic, planned and collectivized economy, led by the collaboration between Worker's Soviets and the Central Organ of Economic Planification.
