The Micronation of Smitthans, more commonly known as Smitthans, is a micronation in Lower Saxony, Germany...

History

Smitthans was founded on 1 July 2022 even though the idea was made some time ago. The founders of the micronation were inspired by the micronation of Taosania.

In the first few weeks the statistics and the political system were created.

After that the first form of provinces with one called "Oben" and one called "Unten" was created. At that time the size of the nation was ~17200m².

Then we started forming alliances with other micronations. We had an alliance with Senkland and Taosania at the start and some time after that, the inspiration for the nation "Taosania" quit (Taosania came back some time later, but got inactive again).

After Smitthans was inactive as well the new province system has been established. Now every president is the leader of one province and in the future the two chefs of the government will own one as well.

Provinces and Cities

Essanien: Manfranistan (Capital of the province and the nation) -> Landkreis Manfranistan, Kaßmanien Welaria -> Wende Plehof -> Landkreis Plehof

Alosinn: Shoshcasa (Capital of the province) Falkenhang Kircheck Suttona Casariga

Politics and government

The two presidents are the highest roles in the nation they can choose the chefs of the government.

Together with the chefs of the government those are the roles which can not be elected by the people. They both guide the parlament but do not participate in votings in the parlament.

Those roles have a veto right which they can use if they think the parlament made a wrong decision for the country. They do not usually use the right tho.

If no parlament is established because no political party exists, those two roles can rule the country until there are parties.

As soon as the first party is created an election will be started to create the first parlament.

Parties can be created by every person in the country or any follower on TikTok. A party must have at least 3 people.

After the elections based of the votes the parties got they can send people into the parlament. The parlament is made out of 15 people (maximum).

Every 3 months the people vote for the parties.

In the end the parlament votes for everything they want to do and the presidents and chefs of the government can stop it.

Foreign relations

We have good relation with the most micronations we work with. Our allies are Taosania and Senkland but we plan to start new alliances in the next few days (Text wrote on 2 January 2022).

Military

Right now Smitthans is military neutral. That means that we support different micronations with economics or even with military, but since none of our allies started a war or even participated in one (at least since we are allies) we don't have a military. If one of our allies will participate in a war we will establish a military as fast as possible to help them.

Geography

The country is located in Lower Saxony, Germany. A lot of cities including the capital Manfranistan are located a lot higher than the rest of the country even though the cities are not far away from each other.
